Fun Tongue Twister Vocalises
When working with novice singers who really have no vision of how important warming up the voice can be, a chorus teacher must have some fun vocalises ready to mix things up a bit. The following exercises are serious work disguised as fun -- if you prepare and guide the singers' listening. Each of these vocal exercises should be sung in many different keys working out the entire vocal range of the singers. They will help them warm up the body and the voice as well as keep their interest if not "done to death." Save these particular exercises for the "spice" needed to provide variety in the warm-up period.
