Choose the Right - SAB and SATB
This piece was premiered for the October 2012 Relief Society Festival on Temple Square, "Choose the Right" - 2-Part Children's Chorus. This jovial, upbeat rendition is so enjoyable to sing and listen to. The children were delightful and their performance was too.
Offered here are transpositions for C instruments as well as B flat instruments. This obligato can be played by flute/clarinet duo, or 2 flutes, or 2 clarinets, or oboe and violin, whatever instrumentalists are available. My favorite combination is actually a combination of 2 flutes for the high parts and 2 clarinets for the low parts.
Because of the arrangement's bouncy character, the tendency will be to to push the tempo too fast. Care should be taken not to rush so that the audience can savor the obligato and piano parts.
NEW - In response to recent requests, I am now offering VOCAL PARTS ONLY versions in SAB and SATB for Adult Choirs. I was able to condense the parts to 3 pages. (We're saving trees and copying expenses for large choirs.) You will still need to print out the full score for the conductor and the accompanist, plus the transpositions for the instrumentalists.
