Choose the Right - Children's Chorus with flute and clarinet or 2 other C instruments
This piece was premiered for the October 2012 Relief Society Music Festival on Temple Square. This jovial, upbeat rendition is so enjoyable to sing and listen to. The children were delightful and their performance was too. The recording is of that performance. Offered here are transpositions for C instruments as well as B flat instruments. This obligato can be played by flute/clarinet duo, or 2 flutes, or 2 clarinets, or oboe and violin, whatever instrumentalists are available. My favorite combination is 2 clarinets.
Because of the arrangement's bouncy character, the tendency will be to to push the tempo too fast. Care should be taken not to rush so that the audience can savor the obligato and piano parts.
