About the Song: My sister, with a lovely, deep alto voice, wanted a song to sing in Church that told of love for homeland. She said that low altos do not have enough hymn arrangements specifically written for them. She also wanted her daughter (a beginning flute player) to accompany her. So she requested that I arrange this song with two flutes so that her daughter would feel more secure playing with a friend, also a novice flute player.
