The Lord Is My Shepherd - SATB
The original setting of this beautiful scriptural text (23rd Psalm) was written by my friend Joseph H. Downing for a men's choir with organ accompaniment. In this rendition, I have created a piano accompaniment for the SATB choir and added the introduction with soloist for the first verse and also the ending. The solo parts could be sung by a small group.
Alex, a choir conductor from Mizoram, India sent me this email:
"I, with the Lord's help, have translated your song "The Lord is My Shepherd" to our language, Mizo. The Keifang Pastorate Choir have since used this song in our ministry and even made a music video of it. We believe that the Lord is using this song as a material for his worship, no matter how small our audience may be."
