The Greatest Christmas Card in the Whole Wide World - SCRIPT Elementary School Chorus Concert
This script was written for the Holiday Show in my children's Elementary School many years ago. We lived in southern California at the time when all funding for music and art in the public schools was eliminated. I was approached by the PTA to do a little after school chorus culminating in a little holiday program in December. We expected 25-30 children to sign up for the after-school chorus rehearsals. We were stunned when 250 children, practically the entire school population, turned out. This is a testament to parents who recognized the value of music and art in the school, and desperately wanted their children to have a music program.

This script was first written when technology was more primitive. I suppose that nowadays, the Christmas Cards or Scenes could be projected onto a screen somewhere, even above the choir risers. The Scene could be painted on large flats with the costumed character walking on to stand in front of them. Then the children (narrators dressed as characters from the Christmas Card Scenes) could deliver their lines at microphones before them.
