King of Kings - Christmas Duet for Soprano and Tenor (or high Baritone)
Set with a sweeping Celtic flair, this Christmas song tells of the awe and wonder displayed by the angels and shepherds at the time of Christ's humble birth and foreshadowing His vast mission to redeem all humanity. Perhaps we, too, were among the angels with "tongues of fire" who sang at the birth of God's Son. Because of the coloratura passages and extended vocal ranges, this piece is best suited for advanced classical singers.
I received an email from a lovely singer from Nigeria, Genevieve Ogu, who with her friend Ochei Johnpaul, created a beautiful YouTube video of "King of Kings" for the 2017 Christmas season. She agreed to let me share it with you.
She says "It's a masterpiece which brings great joy to me and my audience whenever performed." King of Kings duet sung by Genevieve and Johnpaul |
