Don't Wait 'til the Night Before Christmas to Be Good -
Words and Music by Abel Baer and Sam M. Lewis, Arranged by Betsy Lee Bailey
This song was made popular in the 1950's, and is still a favorite in the Bailey family. We have sung it for several generations now and each time the tradition is for the youngest boy to have the last solo about wanting "the train, and plane, and blocks made out of wood" and the youngest girl sings the verse about "the dolls with curls."
I have also used this song on shows for elementary school children and also as entertainment for church and community Christmas programs. It is always a hit!
